Scrapbooking

I never thought I would be interested in scrapbooking.

I remember my cousin convincing me to do a scrapbook of my wedding memorabilia back in 2004. She promised me that I will enjoy it. I never got around to doing it. Not even until now, actually.

But I have done a couple of scrapbooking lately. Both digital and traditional.

And for those who are interested, here's the basic steps to it as presented in http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/gettingstarted/ig/How-To-Scrapbook-/.

1. Sort your photos.
2. Choose a focal point photo.
3. Choose paper and embellishments.
4. Create a background.
5. Double mat the focal point photo.
6. Group mat the supporting photos.
7. Add photos.
8. Add journaling.
9. Add simple embellishments.

But there are really no hard and fast rules in scrapbooking. You may follow the steps above or you may have things your way anytime.

I'm a beginner at this as well so I'm also still experimenting. Right now, what I'm intent on accomplishing is some sort of a photo album of Reese since I haven't had the chance to have her photos printed yet - as in, from birth! I kinda took for granted the fact that I can view her photos on the computer anytime I want. I even upload most of them in friendster, facebook, and the now defunct ringo.

I'd like to share what I've accomplished so far...

Anyway, I hope you give it a try too.
